Gursimran Singh Sidhu, known as Gur Sidhu, is an Indian singer, rapper, songwriter, composer, and record producer whose work has made him one of the defining creative forces in contemporary Punjabi music. Born in Chak Fateh Singh Wala, Bathinda, Punjab, India, Sidhu developed an early interest in music under the influence of his father, Punjabi singer Sukhbir Singh Sidhu. After relocating to Canada, he began his professional career under Brown Town Music, releasing his debut single "Moved On" in 2019. Later that year, he gained widespread recognition after producing Baani Sandhu's breakthrough hit "8 Parche," followed by Jassa Dhillon's "Pyar Bolda," establishing himself as one of Punjabi music's most sought-after producers. He also contributed to the soundtrack of the Punjabi film Ardab Mutiyaran, further expanding his creative portfolio.
Building on that success, Gur Sidhu transitioned into a flourishing solo career while continuing to produce for other leading artists. Recording through Brown Town Music, White Hill Music, Speed Records, Times Music, Sony Music India, T-Series, and Desi Junction, he has released projects including Nothing Like Before and ANYWAY with Cheema Y. His catalog features popular songs such as "Routine," "Ashke Ashke," "Bamb Aagya," "Mexico," "Jealous," "Company," "California Love," and "Fragrance," showcasing his versatility as both a vocalist and producer.
Sidhu has collaborated with Baani Sandhu, Jassa Dhillon, Gurlez Akhtar, Karan Aujla, Sidhu Moose Wala, Amrit Maan, Jasmine Sandlas, Kaptaan, and Cheema Y, among others. His ability to combine contemporary production with traditional Punjabi influences has helped shape the evolving sound of modern Punjabi music, securing his place among the genre's most influential artists and producers of his generation.
